Teacher is a World champion dancer from Ireland. My daughter loves this school its a great school to send your kids too. I love the experience they are having!Ī great school. Alan is so encouraging and easy to work with. They love each new step they learn, and they are doing very well. Really fabulous families and camaraderie! Multiple world and nationally ranked dancers under the guidance of world champion and former lead dancer of Riverdance. If you are interested in Irish Dance, Scariff School is great for any level experience! I got to witness Alan Scariff take complete novices of Irish Dance and turn them into performance ready in a matter of weeks. There is not a better studio in the valley!! He so graciously took her back and we are ever so grateful to be at that studio again. She started at the studio that Alan took over and though she attended a different studio in the middle of her career, she found herself wanting to go back to him. My daughter has been an Irish Dancer for 9.5 years. He knows what it takes to build champions and works hard at it everyday. With locations in Sandy, North Salt Lake, and Logan, Utah’s most successful competitive Irish dance school has a studio near you. He helped our daughter regain her confidence and follow her dreams. The step in Irish step dancing refers to an eight-bar segment of music - part of a jig, reel, or hornpipe - which dictates the kinds of moves available to the performer. He cares about each of the dancers and wants to help them meet their goals. This is the style that Riverdance and Lord of the Dance brought to the world stage in the 1990's, and while its not the only Irish Dance tradition, its probably the flashiest. Alan is an incredible teacher, with the right skill set to help the dancers succeed. We are beyond thrilled to be part of the Scariff School. Great school for Irish dancing!!! This is where championship caliber dancers are born!! Thank you very much Alan!! Her determination to succeed and progress is very evident in the advancements that she has made. He wants his students to succeed!!! Our daughter has only been in Irish dancing for a little over a year. My wife and I are very pleased with the knowledge ant training our daughter is receiving from Alan Scariff. Which is sad, because it does seem that they have a good dance team, I just dont understand why anyone would initially join up and stay going. I would not recommend this studio to anyone. In the few (probably 5) weeks I had my girl go to the classes, I saw Alan smoking several times just outside the studio, had cigarettes visible in the classroom, had a huge fight with some lady right outside the studio (so unprofessional), and did not show ANY sense of professionalism. A run down place that is a little scary to leave your child at, with a "teacher" (Alan) who doesnt actually do the teaching, just has the older girls "teach", would cancel classes and not let people know, wasnt run professionally, and honestly my girl came away knowing NOTHING about Irish dancing.
